I will easily admit that when it comes to boiling eggs, I do not get the same result twice. Once, I even had some explode (to be fair, I was pregnant and sat down and fell asleep, lol!). I came across this recipe a few years back, it makes cooking “hard-boiled eggs” a breeze. Not only is it full proof, the creamier flavor created by the oven is amazing!
Oven Hard Boiled Eggs Recipe
Directions:
350 degrees for 30 minutes:
Pre-heat your oven to 350 degrees. Do not place eggs in until it is fully preheated (even cooking temperature is key). Once the oven reached 350 degrees, take a pair of tongs or similar tools and place directly on rack (see picture below). Cook however many as you like, the amount of eggs does not change the recipe at all. Set your timer for 30 minutes. Once the time goes off, using your tongs, carefully remove them and place on a cooling rack. I turn mine upside down to keep the eggs from rolling off. Let them cool for about 5 minutes. While still warm, crack the shell all the way around. Remove the shell, rinse, and enjoy. That simple! The egg being warm helps to easily remove the shell.
If there is any moisture on the outside of the egg, there will be small brown dots on the shell when cooked. This does not affect the egg inside.
