Nerf Saturn

When it comes to getting my teenagers off the couch and electronics, that usually takes some creativity. However, this weekend I threw in a game-changer. I enticed them with two Walmart-exclusive Nerf Rival Edge Series Saturn XX-1000 Targeting Sets! These nifty sets include a blaster, ten rounds, and a reactive moving target that flips when you hit it! Our fourteen-year-old was sold the second she saw the box. She is a vast Nerf fan! She was beyond excited when she opened that Saturn XX-1000 blaster. It is the longest Nerf Rival blaster ever at 32 inches long. Since eyewear is recommended, she was more than happy to try some excellent Nerf eye protection.
At first, our seventeen-year-old was not as excited, but that changed when she got outside and started launching those Nerf Rival rounds at the targets. Then, it became a full-fledged competition between sisters. After every strike, the target flips to a different position so that you can practice your aim and challenge opponents to competitive games of skill and accuracy.

The girls had to practice their aim to figure out getting the targets to move, but they were more than happy to practice! The precision and speed of the Saturn were so good! I was amazed at how often they hit the targets from the start! The girls also had a blast discovering the tactical rail and trigger lock. They were outside the first day for three hours straight! Since no batteries are required for the Saturn, I am more than happy for them to practice all day long!
One of the most excellent features is that the Saturn is a breech-load blaster that holds up to 10 Nerf Rival rounds. It launches them at an air-scorching velocity of up to 90 feet per second. You can either pump the priming handle and pull the trigger to fire 1 round at a time or unleash all ten rounds rapidly with slam-fire action! Once the girls had the slam-fire action figured out, they had the biggest smiles on their faces! I suggest buying an extra set of Nerf Rival rounds and some eyewear (not included). We lost a few rounds in the field because of how far some of these traveled with the wind.
Nerf Fun for Parents and Pups!
Of course, we could not let the girls have all the fun. My husband and I had to get out there and experience the intensity too! First, my husband challenged our fourteen-year-old to a competition. They both say they won, but I think she beat him!
Then it was our turn to see who would win between the adults. I am not as good as any of them, but I still had a blast with them! I also may have cheated a little bit on our competition, but that is all in good family fun and made for some good laughs!
Fun for the Pups Too!
We made sure not to leave our four-legged family members out either. Our dog Twitter (yup, that is her actual name) had a blast catching the Nerf Frisbees. She kept trying to flip them onto her head after she caught them, so we know she enjoyed those immensely!
She also got to experience the intensity of Nerf by chasing tennis balls from the Nerf Blaster for Dogs! It launches nerf-made tennis balls for your dog at distances most of us could never imagine throwing a ball! She had so much fun chasing the balls; now, if I could only get her to bring them back to me!
Colette was amazed at just how powerful the Nerf Blaster was! Don’t worry; she and Twitter got the hang of it after a while!
